Explaining Health: what you need to know to stay healthy
What is health?
Health is a feeling of vitality, of resilience, not just the absence of disease. Health is having the mental, emotional and physical resources to handle whatever life deals us.
How we handle stress is especially important. If we live everyday as if it’s an emergency, and get upset over things like traffic, which we have no control over, we will wear ourselves out.
Medicine today can keep us alive longer, but it is up to us to make it a long, healthy life. Choices you make today will influence your health tomorrow.
